Reclamation of the affected land will not require a cor~sistently
quantifiable volume of water. This is due to the fact that annual
precipitation is sufficient for seed germination of the plant species
intended for the area. (see Exhibit E). Infrequent demands for a
significant volume of water will only result from the requirements
of soil compaction and seed bed preparation.
Project Water Supply
The source of the water supply which has traditionally met all
project water requirements is a well which draws from the Quaternary
valley alluvial aquifer. The well is located immediately adjacent to
the helicopter landing pad. (see Figure D-3).
The pump for the well was installed on September 22, 1972 accord-
ing to the conditions and provisions of a permit issued to Otter Corpor-
ation by the Colorado Division of Water Resources. (see Exhibit N).
• This well has produced consistently at a rate of not more thin 15 gpm
since that time. The physical dependibility of this water service
is anticipated to remain consistently high for the remaining life of
the mine.
I•JPDES Perini
Cotter Corporation was issued NPDES permit number CO-0001244
(Jefferson County) by the Water Quality Control Division, Colorado
Department of Health. The present permit will expire on Jump 30, 19II1.

G-10
