<br />1 <br />INTRODDCTION <br />' This Coal Exploration License Application has been prepared by <br />Cottonwood Land Company in accordance with the requirements of <br />' the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 43, Chapter II, Subpart <br />3410. The proposed exploration area covers lands in Routt and <br />Moffat Counties, Colorado. <br />' The proposed exploration activities will take place on lands <br />which have been delineated by the Bureau of Land Management for <br />coal leasing in 1982, (The Williams Fork Mountain Tract), the <br />' area of expired Federal Coal Lease C-29217, and areas directly to <br />the north and east. <br />t This Federal Coal Exploration License Application is presented in <br />two parts. Part 1 consists of the License Application, and Part <br />2 consists of the Exploration Plan. <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />The exploration plan outlined in this application complies with <br />the requirements of 43 CFR, sub-part 3482.1 as required by 43 <br />CFR, Section 3410.2-1 (a)(3). It is organized according to the <br />format used in 43 CFR 3410.2 where applicable. <br />Environmental protection and reclamation is an integral part of <br />this proposed exploration program. Reclamation will progress in <br />a timely manner, contemporaneous with the exploration program. <br />Sufficient information is provided in the Exploration Plan to <br />demonstrate the effectiveness of Cottonwood Land Company's <br />proposed reclamation. <br /> <br />
