Cottonwood Land Company will
retain in its files all drill and geophysical logs for at least
one year, and will make them available for inspection by an
authorized officer.
The proposed drilling program will involve a number of
preparatory steps prior to the commencement of, and subsequent to
drilling. These steps include the following: access corridor/
drill pad preparation, well completion or abandonment, and
reclamation of drill pads and access corridors. Details of each
step is outlined in the following discussion.
Access Roads:
The primary access to the exploration area will be by County Road
#'s 61, 65, 59, 53, and 37, south of Hayden. As shown on Map 1,
"light duty" county roads and existing "unimproved roads", and
existing "Jeep Trails" will be utilized as much as possible to
access the drill sites, so as to minimize disturbance associated
with the drilling program. Table 2, Areas of Disturbance,
illustrates the type of access required by each specific drill
location, and approximate area of disturbance.
Secondary access from the above referenced county roads will be
by existing "unimproved roads". It is not anticipated that any
significant upgrade to "unimproved roads" will be required.
Two existing "Jeep Trails" are proposed for access to several
sites. These trails are identified on Map 1, and identified as
Jeep Trail "A" and Jeep Trail "B". The total length of these
trails is approximately 8 miles. It is anticipated that some
upgrade of these trails will be necessary for access. No earth
moving other than possibly minor leveling is anticipated. These
trails will be upgraded just prior to need. A maximum 14 foot
width will be employed during this project, except in locations
such as curves, where more width would be required to safely
negotiate a turn. During access upgrade, the topsoil, if
available will be salvaged by windrowing to the uphill side.
Erosion control structures, such as water bars and culverts, will
be installed where needed and in accordance with applicable
regulations. Where necessary, brush may need be trimmed to allow
access.
21
