(Mine Plan) Little Deadwood Creek
This stream is an intermittent stream below the intersection of the
creek with the May Day fault. Above this fault the creek normally has a very
minor quantity of water flowing.
A smaller pipe (2Ly") would be adequate to carry the 10 year storm
flow in this creek through the mine permit area, A considerable volume of
debris however, washes down with heavy rains and spring runoff. For this
reason, a Lab" pipe was selected.
Additional waste generated ie anticipated as follows:
Lamb = 1,000 tons; #1 - 1,200 tons, #2 - 500 tone.
Water samples were taken o£ th; mine water as follows:
Lamb - Sample location - Adit at the end o£ the timbered portal
section
#1 - Standing water in portal dammed by bank sluff.
#2 - Water running down main raise.
Samples are being analyzed for Fe, Mn, Cu, As, e, c., total dissolved solids
and total sulfates.
Analysis will be submitted on receipt.
ROOM 223
1911 MAIN AVENUE
DURANGO, COLORADO 81301
PHONE: 303 ' 247 ' 9788
