NDNTECHMICAt SOILS DESCA~N REPORT <br />' N 1~2 26-T17S- <br />Map ; Soil note and description <br />Sy~bol <br />---'- <br />9 Canyon-Rock Outcrop co~plez, 1 to 20 percent slopes <br />The Canyon soils are on su~~its, ridges, and breaks of <br />uplands; the Pock outcrop part is along ~aderately <br />steep ries, It is about 65 percent Canyon soil and <br />about 20 percent pack outcrop. <br />The Canyon soil is shallow and Mell drained. It forged <br />in soil Material weathered frog li~estane and in earl. <br />Typically, the surface layer is gravelly loan about 4 <br />inches thick. The underlying layer is loan. Marl and <br />li~estone are at a depth of about 19 inches, <br />Per~eability is Moderate and available water capacity <br />is very low. Effective rooting depth is 10 to 20 <br />inches. Aunoff is rapid and the hazard of Mater <br />erosion is very high. The hazard of soil blowing is <br />high. The gain li~itatians of this soil are <br />susceptibility to erosion, slope, and shallop depth to <br />bedrock. <br />Rock outcrop is typically in a narrow band at the <br />shoulder of breaks.
