It appears that the issue at questions is the location of the 100 year
floodplain, and is the Virginia Acres Gravel Pit Operation in or out of
the 100 year floodplain?
In our determination that this project is not in the 100 year floodplain,
we utilized information from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the
Mesa County Engineering Department, specifically from the Floodplain
Adini ni strator.
Map No. 1 is from a study done by the Corps of Engineers in 1976 for the
era aT-~Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
This study is the official Floodplain Delineation study as recognized by
FEIdA.
This study was used by the National Flood Insurance Program to determine
flood insurance rates.
Map No. 2 is a copy of the map for the National Flood Insurance Program as
revised December 4, 1985. ,
United Companies of Mesa County.
