~,
REVISED EXHIBIT "C" - MINING PLAN
a) Mining at the proposed pit will commence on March 9, 1995
and terminate on March 9, 2005.
b) The estimated depth to which soil will be salvaged as
suitable plant growth will be about 5 inches. Topsoil stockpile
will be Located in an area where disturbance by ongoing mining
operation will be minimized as well as minimizing erosion. We
will stabilize the topsoil with a cover crop of Western
Wheatgrass, Side Oats Grama, Blue Grama and Yellow Sweet Clover.
c) It appears we will not encounter any overburden at the
proposed pit, but we will designate a location on our Exhibit "E"
Map just in case we do encounter any overburden in the permit
area.
d) The thickness of the deposit to be mined is approximately 10
to 15 feet.
e) Access route to the pit will be from the east boundary of
the permit area which will exit off County Road 219.0.
Components being used in this mining operation will be a loader,
butidozer and belly dump and portable crusher.
f) See Exhibit "E" Map.
g) The access road to the pit area will be approximately 12 to
14 fee wide. No improvements will be necessary in order to
utilize the access road.
h) There will be no need for water in conjunction with this
operation.
i) We do not anticipate encountering any ground water at this
pit location. Excessive runoff will be contained within the pit
area by building a berm on the north and west sides of the pit.
No excess runoff will travel off site.
j) Colorado water laws or existing water rights will not be
affected by this operation.
k) No refuse, acid or toxic producing materials are anticipated
in this mining operation If we were to encounter a problem with
any of the above, we would isolate the materials and contact the
local Health Department as well as the Division of Minerals and
Geology for further assistance.
1) To pervent off-site damage, we will put a berm on the north
and west boundaries of the pit which is the direction of the
runoff. The berm will hold excess solids from flowing off site.
