~, <br />REVISED EXHIBIT "C" - MINING PLAN <br />a) Mining at the proposed pit will commence on March 9, 1995 <br />and terminate on March 9, 2005. <br />b) The estimated depth to which soil will be salvaged as <br />suitable plant growth will be about 5 inches. Topsoil stockpile <br />will be Located in an area where disturbance by ongoing mining <br />operation will be minimized as well as minimizing erosion. We <br />will stabilize the topsoil with a cover crop of Western <br />Wheatgrass, Side Oats Grama, Blue Grama and Yellow Sweet Clover. <br />c) It appears we will not encounter any overburden at the <br />proposed pit, but we will designate a location on our Exhibit "E" <br />Map just in case we do encounter any overburden in the permit <br />area. <br />d) The thickness of the deposit to be mined is approximately 10 <br />to 15 feet. <br />e) Access route to the pit will be from the east boundary of <br />the permit area which will exit off County Road 219.0. <br />Components being used in this mining operation will be a loader, <br />butidozer and belly dump and portable crusher. <br />f) See Exhibit "E" Map. <br />g) The access road to the pit area will be approximately 12 to <br />14 fee wide. No improvements will be necessary in order to <br />utilize the access road. <br />h) There will be no need for water in conjunction with this <br />operation. <br />i) We do not anticipate encountering any ground water at this <br />pit location. Excessive runoff will be contained within the pit <br />area by building a berm on the north and west sides of the pit. <br />No excess runoff will travel off site. <br />j) Colorado water laws or existing water rights will not be <br />affected by this operation. <br />k) No refuse, acid or toxic producing materials are anticipated <br />in this mining operation If we were to encounter a problem with <br />any of the above, we would isolate the materials and contact the <br />local Health Department as well as the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology for further assistance. <br />1) To pervent off-site damage, we will put a berm on the north <br />and west boundaries of the pit which is the direction of the <br />runoff. The berm will hold excess solids from flowing off site. <br />
