The legal or equitable owner of record of the coal to be mined is the United <br />States of America (BLM), the State of Colorado and Guy and Holmes Shefstead, <br />P.O. Box 608, Craig, Colo. 61626 <br />Colowyo is the holder of Federal Coal Lease No. D-034365, C-35874, C-29224, C- <br />29225 and C-29226 and State of Colorado Coal Lease 257-13S. <br />The surface and mineral ownership in the permit and adjacent areas is <br />graphically shown on the Surface Ownership Map (Map 1) and the Coal Ownership <br />Map (Map 2) and information found in Exhibit 1, Documents and Leases. <br />Colowyo is the only holder of record of any leasehold interest in the property <br />to be mined or to be affected by surface operations and facilities incidental <br />thereto. There are no other holders of record of any leasehold interests for <br />areas located within the permit boundary. <br />Colowyo is both the applicant for the permit and the operator of the mine. <br />The resident agent of Colowyo who will accept service of process, including the <br />telephone number, is as follows: <br />CT Corporation System <br />1675 Broadway <br />Denver, Colorado 80202 <br />(303) 629-2500 <br />Colowyo Coal Company L.P. will remit all required AML fees. <br />Colowyo is a limited partnership duly authorized to do business in the State of <br />Colorado. Effective December 6, 1994, Kennecott Colorado Coal Company, a <br />Delaware corporation, became the sole general partner of Colowyo Coal Company <br />L.P, Gracoal,Inc.,a Delaware corporation and Gracoal II, Inc., a Delaware <br />corporation, are the limited partners. (Gracoal, Inc. And Gracoal II, Inc.
