LJ <br />2.03.12 PROPOSED NEWSPAPER ADVERTISEMENT <br />Following is the proposed advertisement to be published once per <br />week for a four week period in the local newspaper of the area: <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />American Shield Coal Company, 10830 N.Central Expwy., Suite 175 <br />Dallas, Texas 75231, is petitioning the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division to grant a "reclamation-only" permit for its <br />mining site located approximately 12 miles north of Fruita, <br />Colorado. The permit requested is for reclamation purposes only; <br />no mining will take place on the site. The site was operated as <br />• an underground coal mining complex in the early 1980's. <br />The two reclaimed minesites and refuse facility are located <br />approximately 12 miles north of Fruita. <br />The description of the property is as follows: <br />All underground workings and surface facilities lie within TSS, <br />R101W of the 6th P.M. in the NE ; of Section 30 and the NW ; of <br />the NW } of Section 29. The parcel of land in question is located <br />on the U.S.G.S. Ruby Lee Reservoir 7.5 Minute Quadrangle. <br />A copy of the application is available at the Office of the Clerk <br />of Mesa County in Grand Junction, and at the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division in Denver. <br />Written comments, objections and requests for public hearing or <br />informal conferences should be submitted to: <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />215 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 <br />These comments must be received by the Division by -------, 1992. <br />• <br />~q <br />
