I in Appendix A.) Sediment entering the storm drain inlet will be controlled through the design
improvements discussed above and through the use of best management practices.
The proposed grading and paving of the facility site will minimize the amount of stormwater and
sediment from the site that now drains down the access road. Sediment entering the storm drain
inlet in runoff from the road and other contributing azeas will be controlled by using straw bales as
sediment filters. Straw bales will be staked around the perimeter of the storm drain inlet as shown
on Drawing 2 in Appendix A. The straw bale filter will be routinely inspected and repaired as
needed. Accumulated sediment higher than half the depth of the bale filter will be removed.
