' D
i
th
d
d
f
i
i
ur
ng
e
raw
own o
water
n a p
t the water is
pumped out and allowed to flow back to the aquifer, at
some point down grade from the pit. Usually this water
is held in down grade pits as possible.
'
Water Quality
' The Cache La Poudre River has been classified by the
Colorado State Health Department as "A,B" from its origin
' to the City of Greeley near its confluence with the South
Platte River. This would indicate minimum treatment is
' required for use as a domestic water source.
The operator is not discharging water to the Poudre River
' directly. In all cases efforts are made to provide ample
holding time for colloidal solids to settle out while the
water is under the operators direct control. Thais reduces
any chance for contaminants to move with the ground as it
' finds its way from the mine site.

LJ

in
