• 2.05.3(8) Overburden (continued) <br /> The drillers log and geophysical log of drill hole 29-4. <br />located just west of the southwest corner of Phase 1 pit <br />indicates a relatively hard layer of sandstone entending fro^ <br />38 to 56 feet which say require blasting. The resaindsr of the <br />section appears to be an interbedding of sand and shale, or <br />shale alone, and say be readily stripped without blasting. Also <br />bedrock in this hole was encountered at twenty six (26) feet <br />which indicates sassive colluvial cover. If blasting is <br />required in the Phase 1 operation it is expected to be very <br />minisal. <br />In the event blasting is required a pre-blasting survey <br />may be conducted prior to lining the north part of the Phase i <br />M pit because this portion of the pit lies within a one half rile <br />radius of an occupied dwelling. Ths pre-blasting survey will <br />only be conducted if the occupant requests it, and if it is <br />cospleted, the results will be provided to the occupant, and <br />also sent to the Division. <br />At least ten (10) days before any blasting is anticipated <br />a Blasting Schedule will be published in the local newspaper, <br />and a sasple copy of such a schedule is shown in Exhibit K. The <br />schedule will follow the guidelines suggested in 4.08.3. <br />Under 2.05.3(6)(a) a record will be sads of all blasting, <br />and a copy of each blast will be kept on file for a sinisus of <br />three years. A copy of a blast record is shown in Exhibit M. <br />The surface of the zone in which blasting is required will <br />3 <br />
