The property is located adjacent to the Colorado River, east.
of the sewage treatment plant in Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado, Section
17, Township 6 South, Range 93 West.
As pointed out and delineated to you on site by Pir. Darrell Arnold and Mr.
Bill Herring of our Grand Junction Office, a portion of your property is wet-
land adjacent to the Colorado River. Your proposed gravel mining operation
can be accomplished without a Department of the Army permit provided you do
not place any fill material in the wetland or the Colorado River. You rosy
remove material to an upland storage site, avoiding placement of this dredged
material in the wetland.
Should you have further questions, please call our Grand Junction Office,
(303) 243-1199.
Sincerely,
~~~ ~ ~~
J„ D.
