• Hydrology Inputs and Designs September 3, 1996 <br />1) Stock tank design <br />• Per USSCS Public Standazd 378 "Ponds", Colorado, January 1989. <br />In general the ponds will have the following chazacteristics: <br />• Combination excavation and embankment dugout <br />• Less than 2 acre feet in volume <br />• Source of runoff- surface runoff from topsoil and revegetated azeas. <br />• Cutoff trench for seepage control <br />• 3:1 slopes <br />• Topsoiled and vegetated <br />• Top width at least five feet <br />2) Open channel spillway <br />• Designed to safely pass the peak flow from a 25 yeaz, 24 hour storm event (designs <br />attached) <br />• Grass lined spillway <br />• Curve Number of 56 <br />3)Inspections <br />Until such time that inspection requirements for small livestock water tanks aze modified <br />by the Division, these structures will be inspected quarterly and certified by a P.E. A copy of the <br />inspection report form is attached. The completed inspection forms will be submitted in the <br />Annual Reclamation Reports. <br /> <br />
