thickener and pumped to tailings storage where the solids are deposited
j(~ and the water is recycled to the Mill.
`-~ The composition of the tails should be approximately the
same as what was previously deposited which was silty sand, sandy
silts and medium dense to very dense clays.
The tailings pile will have no water discharge. Therefore,
the trace amount of flotation reagents in the water will be recycled
to the Mill and consumed in .the flotation process.
Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
The reclamation plan for each of the disturbed areas
is as follows:
1. Ajax Mine - The area will be disturbed only in that
waste material will be added to an existing dump area of considerably
l larger extent than the total disturbed area (1.9 acres). The reclama-
-!~ tion plan for this area is to reduce the slopes from the angle of
repose to a non-hazardous stable condition.
2. Haulage Road - The road distance is approximately
2.l miles and a road is already in existence. The tonnage which it
is planned to accommodate, can be moved by one truck operating two
'shifts. Barrow areas and cuts and fills will be protected from
erosion wherever possible. Reseeding of barrow and cut-fill-areas
will be carried out using the seed mix and quantity recommended in
the SCS report attached.
3.
