•
YUST RANCH GRAVEL PIT
EXHIBIT "D"
RECLAMATION PLAN
Yust Ranch Reclamation Plan is to follow the three different
mining phases with reclamation. Three to one back sloping of the Pit
wall will be done as mining is moving forward and at a point where
enough back sloping is done topsoil will be placed a minimum of 4" to
6" deep and drill seeding done following Soil Conservation Service
Plan (see attached plan)
Overburden and Topsoil is stockpiled on both sides of pit area
making the shortest push with dozer when applying topsoil. Future
use of the land is for rangeland.
Topsoil and seeding of mining phases in the area will be done
every year or two years depending on how much gravel is removed.
The gravel market varies from year to year.
Complete topsoiling of the floor area will have to be done after
the equipment is moved out.
Yust Ranch plans to follow the Soil Conservation Service plan,
which is attached.
Reclamation costs will be minimal at the Yust Ranch Gravel Pit
due to the mining plan.
Maximum disturbance will be at the end of phase one of three
phases of mining.
Reclamation costs will be for Topsoil and seeding as all the
backfilling, resloping, and grading is being done while mining is taking
place.
