A description of the type(s) of reclamation the operator <br />proposed to aichieve in the reclamation of the affected <br />land; why each was chosen, the amount of acreage accorded <br />to each, and a general discussion of methods of reclama- <br />tion as related to the mechanics of earthmoving. <br />It is proposed to reclaim affected land to dry rangeland. <br />The plant refuse areas (62.1 acres) have been disturbed <br />and will continue to be affected active disposal for <br />solid material refuse from plants 2 and 3• It is expected <br />these refuse areas will remain active until depletion of <br />the west quarry (about 2030), will enable plant refuse to <br />be deposited in the depleted quarry. It is hoped some <br />solution to the absence of suitable soil cover material <br />for reclamation of these isolated plant refuse areas will <br />• become available prior to the time they become inactive. <br />Conditions and factors affecting reclamation were discussed <br />in the introduction to Exhibit E. Pap pcc-1387 shows <br />the location of affected lands and the r,4ining Plan. Ex- <br />hibit D, references acreages and a general discussion of <br />reclamation as related to the mechanics of earthmoving. <br />b. A comparison of the proposed postmining land uses to otY:er <br />13nd uses in 'the vicinity and to adopted state and local <br />land use plans and programs. <br />Because of the uncertainty of whether commercial, in- <br />dustrial or residential reclamation goals can be achieved, <br />the operator :shall submit an alternative vegetation plan. <br />A narrative o.*.' land use in the vicinity is given in the <br />introduction of Exhibit E. <br />~J <br />
