Western Slope Carbon, Inc. (WSC), 315 East 200 South, Salt Lake
City, Utah 84110, [phone], has filed an application for a
Mining and Reclamation Permit under provisions of the Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Act.
The proposed mine is located approximately 3.5 miles east of
Somerset, Colorado in Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 12, T13S; R90W;
6th PM, U.S.G.S. 7 1/2 minute quadrangle map titled Somerset.
The proposed date of commencement is March 1, 1981 and the
proposed date of completion is March X991. The proposed future use
of the land will be recreational and wildlife habitat.
Additional information and tentative hearing dates may be
obtained from the Mined Land Reclamation Board, Room 423, 1313 Sherman
Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, [phone], or the Gunnison County
Courthouse, or the Delta County Courthouse, or the above named applicant.
• Objections must be filed with the Mined Land Reclamation Board
by 5:00 p. m. on September 22, 1980.
