<br />REPORT OF A GEOTECHNICAL EXPLORATION <br />BOOTH PROPERTY -APPROXIMATELY 250 ACRES <br />WELD COUNTY ROAD Z4 <br />WEST 1f2 OF SECTION i, TOWNSHIP Z NORTH, RANGE 68 WEST <br />LONGMONT,COLORADO <br />PROJECT N0.21975088 <br />October 14, 1997 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />This report contains the results of our geotechnical engineering exploration for the <br />proposed gravel pit to be located in the West 1/2 of Section 1, Township 2 North, Range <br />68 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, North of Weld County Road 24, southwest of the <br />existing Hall-Irwin, Longmont gravel pit <br />The purpose of these services is to provide information and geotechnical engineering <br />recommendations relative to: <br />• subsurface soil and bedrock conditions <br />• groundwater conditions <br />• physical properties of overburden and granular materials <br />The conclusions and recommendations contained in this report are based upon the results <br />of field and laboratory testing, engineering analyses, and experience with similar soil <br />conditions, structures and our understanding of the proposed project <br />PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION <br />Based on the information provided to Teracon, it is Terracon's understanding that <br />approximately 250 acres, located southwest of the existing Hall-Irvvin's Longmont gravel pit, <br />north of Weld County Road 24, is to be utilized as a future gravel pit for the mining and <br />extraction of sand and gravel reserves. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
