The operator estimates a highly variable <br />market over the next fifteen years. Estimates are for a~~proxi- <br />mately 65,000 tons of material annually during the period 1978 <br />through 2006. The deposit varies between 43,000 and 96,000 tons <br />per acre. Approximately nine-tenths of an acre per year will <br />be excavated from an average deposit thickness of thirty feet. <br />The five-year stages will affect somewhat more than five acres <br />because the slope areas around the perimeter will contain less <br />than 72,000 tons, and there are perimeter areas in each =stage <br />which will not be mined.
