EXHIBIT G
RATER RESOURCES
There will be little disturbance to the prevailin@ hydro-
' logic balance as a result of this on-going operation. The
affected lands, which have in part been mined since 1995,
' were originally unused river bottom lands.
No tributary water courses, springs, stock water ponds,
M
reservoirs or ditches are located on the affected land.
' One well, for industrial use in the processing operation,
is located on the plantsite area. Nell number 2373F was
' adjudicated for 4.44 c.f.s. on April 26, 1974, by Hater
Judge 1Villiam L. Gobin (see copy included).
' This pit is mined wet by dragline operation. No
dewatering is necessary; therefore, no Colorado Department
'
of Health NPDES permit is necessary. Should dewatering
' ever be initiated, an NPDES permit will be obtained.
Runoff waters are not a problem. Minor amounts which many
' occur will drain into the excavation area, not away from the
operation.
'
Hater used in the mining stages is insignificant. Only
' at rare times when operations must continue during extended
high wind conditions is any road or pit watering performed.
This is a wet operation and it tends to be damp and dust free.
The four lakes included in the reclamation plan are es-
'
timated to reach their ultimate size in 2006.
