Lung <br />Givieinn Grcanr <br />The Division received your cesponses to the Division's adequacy review on August 6, 1999 and <br />August 1 I, 1999. A few remaining items need to be addressed prior to the Division's decision <br />due date of August 13, 1999. <br />1. Rule 6.3.12 Exhibit L The applicant states that the position taken by the Forest Service is that <br />the road would not be adversely affected by the mining operation. Please provide the <br />Division with correspondence or other documentation ttom the Forest Service stating that the <br />mining and reclamation activity will not adversely affect FDR 310. <br />2. The applicant provided the Division with the LBS/ACRE of each grass specie noted in the <br />seed mixture. Rule 6.3.4(1)(c)(iii) requires LB5 of PLS (pure live seed) per acre for each <br />grass specie. Based on the numbers provided by the applicant, 164.74 total seedsJsquare <br />foot will be applied. This seed application amount is considered high. Amore acceptable <br />range is 35-40 seeds/square foot. Please provide the Division with LBS of PLS per acre for <br />each seed specie noted on the seed mixture. <br />3. The applicant states that a closure plan will be submitted to the Division prior to the decision <br />due date. The Division has not received the closure plan to date. As previously stated in the <br />July ~, 1999 letter, the closure plan will need to contain a drawing of the closure, description <br />of the method of closure, and the materials and equipment to be used. <br />Rule 6.4.12 Exhibit L- Reclamation Costs The Division estimated the cost to reclaim the <br />White Banks Mine site in the amount of $ 11,500.00. A copy of the Division's estimate is <br />enclosed. The bond will need to be submitted and approved by the Division in order for the <br /> <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br />permit to be issued. <br />
