~, -
BOETTCHER EXHIBIT B
SANDSTONE
QUARRY
PdINING PLAN
This quarry was opened in 1961 as a silica suppl,y.to
the Ideal Boettcher Cement Plant. Annual production_:is 15,000
to 20,000 tons per ,year.
~, Explosives are used to dislodge the sandstone in order
~, that a front end type loader can load trucks for transport to
~ a stockpile convenient to the plant crusher for refilling enclosed
e
,' plant storage as needed. The quarry is operated on an intermittent
' basis when personnel and equipment are the most convenient.
Operation is normally conducted less than 180 days per year.
' A 15-foot second bench is currently being operated and
a future third and fourth bench appear likely.
' No water is used in the quarry operation. The haul road
access property owned by the Fergusons is included in affected
' land of the Boettcher Limestone Quarry.
Infrequent maintenance, water truck sprinkling and eventual
reclamation of this road will be accomplished as part of the lime-
, stone quarry.

,
