lNDUST•RAIL CENTER
COLORADO SPRINGS CO.
iii iiiiuiiniiiiii
i ~~ ~:
May 13, 1985
Mined Land Reclamation Board
1313 Sherman Street, Room 423
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: 1 - Castle Concrete Company application
to amend Permit Number 77-213, Filed
as of April 1, 1985.
2 - Transit Mix Concrete Company application
to amend Permit Number 73-7, filed on
April 1, 1985.
Gentlemen:
Columbine Industrial, Inc., supports, without reservation, the Transit Mix
Concrete Company application to amend Permit No. 73-7, as specified and
described in Pubic Notices dated April 14, 1985, April 21, 1985, April 28, 1985
and May 5, 1985.
Columbine Industrial, Inc., conditionally supports the Castle Concrete Company
application to amend Permit No. 77-213, filed as of April 1, 1985. Specifically,
the access road from Drennan Road to the mine site location must be asphalt
paved so as to hold down the excessive amounts of dust generated by heavy
trucks hauling sand and gravel materials. Columbine Industrial, Inc., is pre-
sently landscaping a major Industrial Park permanent sign area using evergreen
shrubbery, etc. The dust from the truck traffic settles on the leaves and
needles of the greenery and will preclude a healthy growing environment for
those plants and shrubs.
Columbine Industrial, Inc., supports the Castle Concrete application provided
that the access road from Drennan Road to the Mine Site gate is paved prior
to June 15, 1985.
Yours truly,
f ~,-.",u.-~
enneth B.
