Surface Blasting Plan
If necessary, Viking Coal Company engages in blasting of overburden and
coal before its removal. A general sequence for drilling and blasting
of overburden and coal proceeds as follows:

Overburden Map (Map 9), and Blasting Pattern Alteration - Coal Ptap (Map
10). Appropriate blasting patterns to conform with the maximum weight
of explosives to be detonated per delay are undertaken during operations
by Viking Coal Company.
