Mined Land Reclamation Division,
Jesse Lee Operation-File No. M-84-043.
June 6, 1984.
5. The existing topsoil is from 6 to 8 inches thick, which will
be stockpiled seperately and reclaimed and replaced when the
project is completed per the direction of the Soil Conservation.
6. Water will be exposed in the excavated area due to springs
which are adjacent. The water in general should remain at a
constant level.
7. Since the Arkansas River adjacent to this area is approximately
twenty(20) foot lower than the proposed work area, a fifty(50)
foot berm would in excess of one hundred(100) feet after excavation.
Using the 100 year Flood Plane analysis this would provide more
than sufficient structural strength.
In order to prevent any additional delays a hundred(100) foot
berm will be utilized.
8. The 3/4 to 1~-inch and 3/4-inch minus aggreage materials
will be stockpiled seperately for possible sale and use by
Pridemore Construction, Inc.
9. All materials in excess of 1'~-inch will be returned at a
future date and placed on the excavated slopes for slope protection
(riprap) and decoration of the area.
10. The revised acres is 8.03 as shown on enclosed drawing.
Exhibit D.
2. All springs and seeps will be divered directly into the
mining excavation area.
Exhibit E.
Mr. Champion, the property owner, per his letter to the "Department
of Natural Resources", dated February 16, 1984, stated he wants
the excavated areas to be left open for future "Fish Ponds". These
excavated areas will be left full of water from existing springs
and/or Water Rights from Maxwell Creek. Mr. Champion wants the
excavated slope and the area over the open of each area protected
by excess 1'~-inch material(Riprap).
Mr. Champion only wants the roads and stockpile areas replaced
with topsoil and seeded.
