~-
Doc Date:1 211 112 0 01
• SI~ 4.13 CONTEMPORANEOUS RECLAMATION IIIIIIIIIiIIlllllll
All reclamation activities including, but not 1lmited to those associated
with progressive disturbance of the permanent coal refuse stockpile and
final reclamation of mine disturbance areas will be completed as
contemporaneously as possible. Reclamation activities will include
removal of mine structures, backfilling, grading, topsoil replacement,
revegetation and post reclamation management. Implementation of
reclamation plans as described in Section 2.05.4, Reclamation Plan, will
assure that each step in the reclamation process is completed in an
effective and timely manner.
It should be noted, that for areas of ongoing surface disturbance,
contemporaneous reclamation serves to stabilize disturbance areas,
minimize erosion, and prevent adverse surface water impacts as these
impacts occur.
•

4.13-1
