2.04.7(1)(a)(iii) <br />• (iii) Known uses of water in aquifiers. <br />DIo use is made of groundwater per se. There are no wells tapping <br />the water table in use by the Bear t4ine. There are three wells <br />on the surface of the Bear Mine. The location of each well is <br />shown on the Existing Land Use P:ap, 2.04.3(2)(a)-1. The East <br />and West Wells have been in existance for many years. The <br />Center TAell was installed by ARCO. The Center well is used as <br />a source of water by the Bear Mine only in emergencies when the <br />spring water is not obtainable. Springs are used to furnish <br />the Mine with all of its water requirements. The springs are <br />discussed in Section 2.04.7(2). <br />(iv) Quality of subsurface water. <br />Refer to Tables 2.04.7(1)(a)(iv)-1 and 2 for analysis of the <br />groundwater. <br />i <br />Table 2.04.7(1)(a)(iv)-3 is an analysis of the East 41e11 and the <br />center Well taken is June 1981. <br />'z ,04,7CL~ <br />(2) Surface Glater Information. <br />(a) General information. <br />The name of the watershed is the Morth For'c of the Gunnison River. <br />Refer to Drawing 2.04.7(2)(a)-1 for the location of the River,. <br />the ephemeral streams in Sylvester Gulch and the draw draining <br />the west one-half of Section 16, the location of the springs, <br />the location of stock ponds, and the surface drainage system <br />for the affected area and adjacent areas.
