At your request, this office has conducted a search of the Colorado Inventory of
Cultural Resources with the following results:
( ) There are no documented cultural properties in the area of impact of the
proposed undertaking. Our records indicate:
( ) no cultural resource surveys have been conducted
in the proposed project area.
( ) cultural resource surveys have been conducted in the proposed
project area. Information from the survey reports is attached.
(~) Information* regarding previously documented resources in these areas is
attached. These resources have not been evaluated for inclusion in the
National Register of Historic Places. Until a formal determination of
eligibility has been completed, however, they must be considered to be
eligible for inclusion in the National Register. SLA2161
( ) Information* regarding cultural resources pending nomination to or listed on
the National Register of Historic Places in the proposed project area is attached.
Our files contain incomplete information for this area as most of Colorado has not been
inventoried for cultural resources. There is the possibility that as yet unidentified
cultural resources exist within the proposed impact area.
Therefore, in the event there is Federal or State involvement, we recommend that a pro-
fessional survey be conducted to identify any cultural resources in the project area which
are eligible to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We look
forward to consulting with you regarding the effect of the proposed project on any
eligible cultural resource in accordance with the Advisory Council on Historic Preserva-
tion Procedures for the Preservation and Protection of Historic and Cultural Resources
(36 CFR 800). Please provide this office with the results of the cultural resource
survey for our review of professional adequacy and compliance with regulations.
