The minor revision provides for an expansion of the raw
coal stockpile area at the primary crusher. The need for this
additional storage is a function ri o~periodic coal production surges
coming from the pit expected to occur due to the addition of the
Marion 8050 dragline into the pit operation.
We anticipate that once weather and soil conditions permit,
topsoil will be removed from the expansion area and a shovel will
be moved in to excavate into the hillside at the approximate
elevation of the current stockpile area. The final cut slopes will
be stabilized by grading the 10-50 foot cuts to at least a 3:1
slope. Refer to the attached Map 22, Existing Structures South
sheet for details of the area in question.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the
revision.
Sincerely,
Clt,~+-.o ~ , ~ l~
Ja•es A.
