Twenty (20%) percent to Thirty (30%) percent of the surface
area of the proposed pit has historic use as a sand and
gravel pit. All available topsoil and/or overburden of the
remaining surface area will be stripped and stock piled for
future reclamation use. The stock pile will be seeded with
a perennial grass for interim stability, if necessary.

The butte elevations will be mined first, which will bring
them down to the gently sloping contiguous area. It is not
anticipated that a pit would result, however, a dipping of
ten to twelve feet may be necessary to effectively pursue
the material.

.Pinon and Rocky Mountain Juniper in this area are existent
on the slopes of the buttes. It is anticipated that random
seeding plantings will be made with twenty-five foot radius,
on the face of up slopes to maintain the integrity of the
overall area's vegetation. Plantings of Pinon will be three-
to-one of Rocky Mountian Juniper.
