~ ` III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Y.O. Box ~$$ 329
Greeley, Co. 80631
iiarch 20, 1978

Mined Land Reclamation Board
Room $,~$ 723
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203
Gentlemen:
In regard to the :Wining permit referred to by public notice in the Greeley
Daily Tribune of iiarch 1, 1978, and in particular to the entrance and exit
road that is intended to be used (irithin Sec. 10, Twn. 5, tlt~5'vl. ) ~ ich adjoins
my property at 1321 r'.ast 16th Street. This private road right of Bray is only
17 £eet from rqy bedroom window; it is only five Feet £rom WlY separate garage.
Since this strip of ground is only Fifty feet wide, this road will be very
close to my house.
I object to this road being used to haul out mined products and as I un-
derstand the later use for hauling asphalt and ready-mix concrete. The an-
ticipated truck traffic i,rill be devastating to nKY home and to me. In the
past I have worked nights, I may have to do this again and my day sleop will
certainly be distttrbed. The vibration o£ large trucks carrying some tnirty
to forty TOiJS of material will 'cause clocks to stop and pictures to fall of£
the walls and I'm told it is worse trhen they are empty. eventually the con-
crete block walls will crack and deteriorate.
The noise, gear shifting, braking, stopping and starting and the fumes will
be unbearable. .locks and dirt trill fall off the trucks and that too will be
terrible. There will be a lot of dusteven i£ they do mil this road as Far as
my property as I've been told they will. I have never seen an c•sVIRUiinri~Teh
Iiu'dCT R..PORT on this and it is my feeling that it has not been considered.
(both the dust and the noise.) There is also the effect it may have on n4'
septic tank and drainage.
In addition, there will be potential bodily danger to persons and property
in WlY front yard as these giant trucks roll down the hill on 16th street
and turnat the Front corner of mY lot, should they fail to ,Take the turn prop-
erly. If they would make the road to the east o£ mQ it vrould be better.
ole bought this place in l~;ay of 1962, before .~s Doeringsfeld acquired the
mine property, the house having been built in 1961. ,•{y husband died in this
house July 16, 1975. I have lived here 16 years and intend to live here For
another 15 or 20 years (if I live that long.)
:wren i£ I should decide to move the anticipated traffic would make the
prouerty virtually valueless to seml or to rent. In short, it w uld prac-
tically destroy me. So I hone an alternative fray will be wor:ced out.
Louise L. Kelley
This letter received by me on the day of .•.arch, 1978
at raj o' c
,_~£or the i•;ined Land Reclamation Board.
