• ~ Results of this monitoring will be included in the annual subsidence report. New
structures such as buildings constructed over previously mined areas will be
photographed during the next regular subsidence inspection. Follow-up inspections
will only be done at the request of the owner or other indication of damage. These
new structures will be included in the regular inspection schedule if new mining is
projected under the structure.
TransColorado Gas Transmission Company (TGTC) installed a gas transmission
line across a portion of the permit area, within the South Portals mine area. A July
10, 1998 agreement between PCC and TGTC included the commitment for PCC to
notify TGTC 6 months prior to undermining the pipeline. This agreement is
presented in Appendix 20-9.
Until mining resumes in the south portal, no subsidence protection zone or plan for
the gas line will be necessary. Should mining via the South Portal be reactivated,
the Operator will obtain DMG approval for a subsidence survey or control and
mitigation plan. The plan will be designed so no damage will occur to the pipeline
and the plan must be approved by the TGTC. The plan must be in place prior to
mining within the subsidence angle of draw of the gas line.
•
20-10 (Rev. 01 /01)
