Dear Mr. Blagg:
Enclosed please find a letter of protest concerning the permit application for
the above captioned operation from F1r. Ronald L. Haynes. The protest seems to
relate to the Elbert County zoning process. I requested clarification of the
status of this matter in my letter to you of February 4, 1983. I suggest that
you make sure of the status of the zoning approval from Elbert County for this
pit as soon as possible.
To date, I have still not received a response to my adequacy letter of February
4, 1983. This was a rather extensive letter and will require an extensive
reply. I anticipate that my review of this reply will also take some time and
may result in some further questions concerning the application. Since the
application is scheduled for the February 23-24, 1983 meeting (next Wed. and
Thurs.), and since our Division offices will not be open on Feb. 21, 1983 due
to the state holiday, I strongly suggest that you request a continuance of
consideration of Board consideration of this application until the 11arch 23-24,
1983 meeting.
In any case, I suggest that you contact me on Tuesday morning to let me know
your plans in this matter.
