~'
KLM AQUIFER
Well GA2 has been used to monitor the KLM at the GA site. Figure 4.8-38 shows
the TDS for this well with time. A similar TDS to that observed for water from well
GAl is shown for well GA2. The KLM aquifer, which is above the QR aquifer, is
monitored a[ well GF3. Results from this well show steady concentrations with time
see Figure 4.8-39).
Field pH variations have been observed for well GA2 in the range of 6.4 to 7.9
since 1974. These changes are thought to be from natural fluctuation. KLlf aquifer
well GF3 contains water with a pH of approximately 8.5.
SAR values for well GA2 are low with an average value of approximately 0.3,
while values for well GF3 are above 40. SAR values for well GF3 could create a
problem for irrigation of tight soils.
HI AQUIFER
Well GE2 is used to monitor the HI aquifer at [he GE site. TDS concentrations
for the HI aquifer in this area have been fairly steady with time with no
significant trends see Figure 4.8-40). The H and I coal seams have recently been
mined uphill of well GF4. TDS data from this well does not show a trend see Figure
4.8-41).
The TDS concentration, at the GB location in the HI aquifer, has not varied as
it has in the Third White Sandstone. Figure 4.8-42 shows a fairly steady
concentration with time except for three outliers. The values for the last two
4-233 z ~~,°1~~~ ~c3 Y '> ~t1~
