Sunbelt will examine the sedimentation pond periodically and file a <br />report on the condition of the pond annually. <br />4.05.7 Discharge Structures <br />Discharge from the sedimentation pond will be controlled by the use of <br />an energy dissipator and flow check devices where necessary. The water <br />released from the pond will travel through spillways lined with riprap, <br />gravel, or natural vegetation before being discharged into the existing <br />drainage. <br />4.05.8 Acid-Forming and Toxic-Forming Spoil <br />Acid-forming and toxic-forming materials do not exist at the Peacock <br />Coal Mine. <br />4.05.9 Permanent and Temporary Impoundments <br />• No permanent impoundments are planned at the Peacock Coal Mine by <br />Sunbelt. <br />A sedimentation pond is planned to control drainage and sediment from <br />the surface facilities as shown on the Drainage and Sediment Control <br />Plan Map (Map 6). The details for this sedimentation pond are set forth <br />in Sections 4.05.6 and 2.05.6. <br />The embankments, impoundments and associated structures will be <br />revegetated. Routine inspections of these structures will be conducted <br />periodically as required by Section 4.05.9. <br />The sedimentation pond impoundment will be maintained according to the <br />specifications set forth in this part. Maintenance procedures for the <br />sedimentation pond may include mowing and cutting of excess vegetation <br />growth for the purpose of facilitating inspections and repairs and will <br />lJ <br />4.05-6 <br />
