reclamation of temporary diversions is found in Section 2.05.4. None of
the proposed temporary diversions will be located so as to increase
potential for landslides. Channel lining riprap and energy dissipators
will be used when necessary. Sunbelt does not anticipate that there
will be any significant excess material resulting from the construction
of diversion ditches.
No permanent diversions have been designed or will be constructed at the
planned operation. Likewise, none of the temporary diversions will
handle runoff from an area with a watershed greater than one square
mile.
None of the proposed diversions will drain into the underground
operation.
4.05.4 Stream Channel Diversions (Relocation of Streams)
• Sunbelt will divert or relocate no intermittent or perennial streams
within the permit area. Therefore, the requirements of this Section are
not applicable to the operation.
4.05.5 Sediment Control Measures
Sediment control measures to be implemented are shown on the Drainage
and Sediment Control Plan Map (Map 6). These facilities, consisting
primarily of diversion ditches and a sedimentation pond, will be
located, constructed, and maintained to avoid erosion and increased
contribution of sediment load to runoff. Discussion on sediment and
drainage control is presented under Section 2.05.6.
If encountered during the underground operation, water will be treated
in underground sump areas prior to discharge. Presently, any water
encountered in the underground operation is utilized to facilitate dust
control underground, .and no water will be pumped to the surface.

4.05-4
