In that letter, Lyman Kenn provided a geotcchnicat
stability analysis for permanent manmade structures that exist within 200 ft of the affected area. The list of
structures did not include the detention pond and easternmost building of the Black Hawk Central City Sanitation
District (BHCCSD), both of which arc believed to be beyond the 200 R perimeter of geotechnical concern under
DMO Rules.
The conclusions of the original stability analysis also apply to the referenced BHCCSD structures. Based on
engineering analysis of site geometry and blast vibrations (designed and monitored for PPV of less than 0.7S ips),
the structures will not be damaged by proposed mining operations.
It has been a pleasure serving you on this project. Please contact the undersigned if you have any questions or
comments, .. - -.
Sincerely yours.
LYMAN IiENN FNC.
Steven C.
