• <br />Abstract <br />On November 17, 1977, pedestrian survey of four proposed drill hole locations, <br />a pivposed mining waste disposal area, a power plants and several nearby areas was <br />conducted by Gordon and Kran:ush -Archaeological Consultants for SJestern Slope Car- <br />bon, Incorporated in Tovmship 13 South Range 90 4fest, Sections 1, 10~ 11, and 12 of <br />Gurmison County and To:mship 14 South, Pange 92 41est , Section 2 of Delta County, <br />Colorado. Finds included a prehistoric isolated find (flake), an historic isolated <br />find (bottle), a prehistoric locality (four fla'.tes), aad the remains oS the Town <br />of Oliver and Olivert•fine operations. These finds are discussed in the section of <br />this report entitled "Inventory Results". IJo materials located were deemed eligible <br />for nomination to the tlational Register of Historic Places, and no inpact to pre- <br />viously recorded sites is anticipated. Conditional clearance pendis~ completion of <br />an Historical American Engineering Record for the Oliver Power Plant is recornended. <br />Unconditional clearance is reco.^iended for all other project areas. All recommer~a- <br />tions are discussed in the section of this report entitled "Conclusions and Reconmenda- <br />tions". <br />• <br />~ ~ <br />~J <br />
