Tl,e subsoil material stored in stockpiles shall be used to cover tl~e spoil material and to esteblisli a final grade prior to applying the topsoil material. Once the grade is established, the entire site .to be reclaimed shall be ripped or subsoiled to a depth adequate to break the compaction in the spoil material and the subsoil. A minimum ripping depth of 24 inches should be adequate. Tlie ripper or subsoiler sliould.be spaced 'at a maximum width of three feet. The topsoil material must 6e applied uniformly over the area at depths of at least twelve inches. The Derrick soil and the Space City soil may be mixed during this step to create a homogeneous soil material.
