The unnamed soils are suitable for topsoil salvage down to 24 inches. <br />On the slopes north and west of the loadout area is the Morapos soil, mapped by the SCS <br />as map unit 7C. These soils were examined at Stops 20 and 33 and sampled at stop #33. <br />Morapos soils have surface horizon textures ranging from loam to silty clay loam and <br />clayey subsoils.
