<br />from shale and siltstone and in loess. E4evation ranges from 6,400 to
<br />8,000 feet. .A~t the type location, the moan annual precipitation ranges^
<br />from 15 to 20 inches and is.cvJnly distributed throughout the year
<br />except for a'slight decline In July. In southwestern Colorado peak
<br />amounts of precipitation are received in late July, August, and
