Extraction of t:he commer-
cial aggregates will reduce the existing ground surface to the
approximate elevations shown by the projected contour lines on the
"Exhibit G" map. At these projected elevations, the ultimate sur-
face will be both the floor of the quarry and the reshaF~ed surface
for building sites, and complete the reclamation plan for this por-
tion of Parcel 2. Reclamation of the remaining portion of Parcel
2 pertains to the west high wall of the quarry. During the extrac-
tion of aggregates a series of terraces or steps are consecutively
created by the mining procedures from the top to the bottom of the
wall and more or less horizontally across the face of tYie wall. In
essence the ridge of rock will be progressively sliced transversely
until the west boundary of Parcel 2 is reached. As each slice of
rock is removed a new series of terraces will be develoF~ed. Con-
sequently the shaping of the west high wall terraces is an intergral
function of the extraction processes. At any given point of time
the terraces should reasonably conform to the shape desired for
the planned reclamation of the west high wall. Final reclamation
of the west high wall can be completed by some dressing down of the
terrace surfaces, placing top soil at a few random intervals on the
terraces and then planting selected vegetation in the top soil
treated areas. Cost to complete the reclamation in Parcel 2 are
as follows:
Reconstruction of Jackson Gulch
Revegetation of highwall terraces
Placing of top soil
Seeding & Mulching
2,000 cu. yds
2~ acres
$8,000.00
@ ;1.00 $2,000.00
@ 700.00 $1,750.00
Contingency for dressing west
high wall terraces
Dozer
160 hours
@ $E 0.00 $9,600.00
Total $21,350.00
cont.
