INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: UAN IfE
FROM: JANE: 1' A
SUBJECT: NUI X ?t
DATE: 7/5/2007
COST 1?S"1'IMA'C13
,,~;,`~
I have conducted a reclamation cost estimate fox NOI application X-2007-229-00, fox the Cow Camp Underground
Project.
The applicant proposes to drill 11 holes and construct 11 drill pads. Drill pads will be accessed from existing roads and
no new roads are required to be constructed. Each pad may have up to 3 small mud pits during the drilling process.
Reclamation of the drill pads will consist of sealing the drill holes with cement and suxgel, mazking each hole, drying and
regrading all mudpits, regrading all 11 drill pads, replacing topsoil on the regarded pads, and seeding the pads. The
operator may decide to twin up to three of the holes but has not provided reclamation costs for twinned holes in this
application. I spoke with Scott Cowman and Rocky Thompson on July 5, 2007, xegazding potentially twinned holes.
Should additional holes be necessary to allow for drilling twinned holes, CCR will submit an amendment to this
application. Therefore, this application is only considering I1 drill holes.
Colorado Coal Resource's (CCR)estimated cost for reclamation of the proposed holes is $42,391.40. The Division's
estimated cost for reclamation of these I1 holes and associated pads is 32,224.00. The Division accepts CCR's estimate.
Please fmd my supporting CIRCES estimating task sheets attached to this memo.
