•
Exhibit "H"
Wildlife Information
The Pronghom Antelope is the main resident of this range area, which is classified by
the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service as; Harvey-Stoneham-Cascajo
Association: Deep gently sloping, well-drained, Loamy soils and moderately steep, excessively
drained, Gravelly soils; on uplands.
This area has little [o no woody plants and wildlife cover is minimal, therefore the only
wildlife usually seen is the Pronghom and some Jackrabbits, and [he occasional Coyote. This
rangeland is used for cattle production and they are managed on the land by the use of pasture
fences . The potential for disturbance of any wildlife on this mine site is very small.
As stated elsewhere in this report the site is to be reclaimed as rangeland for cattle
grazing and since the Pronghorn Antelope shares the range with cattle, the potential for the
Pronghorn Antelope is also favorable, due to the fact that there is little competition between
cattle and Pronghom Antelope.
Please see Division of Wildlife s[atement/evaluation in this same Exhibit "H" for their
report. The report was done by Kevin Kaczmarek, "Habitat Biologist" signed April 2, 2001.
