Mr. Goforth is no longer alive as of 1992, so his high standards of managing cropland productivity is missing
(see section 2.04.10). Since Garvey 8 Company will own and manage the only irrigated hayland at NH1
area, the Goforth production figures have been removed from the average. Therefore, 2,710 LBS/AC-YR will
be used as the performance standard for irrigated hayland at New Horizon 1 reclamation area.
b. Above numbers and additional documentation can be seen in Section 2.04.10.
c. WFC feels The New Horizon 2 study area and hayland productivity of 1987 will be comparable with the New
Horizon 1 area. Management of water, fertilizer, cultivating, flood irrigation methods, and general
management of the fields are universal for the Nucla-Naturita area, except for exceptional farmers like the
former Mr. Goforth. The Garvey management practices that produced the records in this table will be similar
for the irrigated cropland that is stated in this section, since it will be the same people involve in bath cases.
Revised 6/10/00
22-11
