• i
M-95-057/Adequacy Review
1/9/96
page 3
include additional details which must be figured into the bond
do not anticipate much change in the amount.
Exhibit E - Mining and Reclamation Maos
The mining map is adequate, but the reclamation map lack several
important items. The area east of the ditch should be identified
as an area not to be disturbed, if that is the case. The contours
shown are not the post-mining contours. The mined slope is shown
to be 2.5:1, though if the top and both sides of the knob are
mined, a much gentler slope is possible. (The existing hillslope
is 4:1 or less, as mapped.) Where will the slope end and a level
bench begin? Will any berms remain after reclamation? Please
identify generally where revegetation will or won't be implemented.
If you can sketch the details onto another copy of the surveyed
blue line map, that will suffice.
The final item needed is the proof of publication, as described in
both the application package and the response letter from our
office to Mr. Rudibaugh on December 20, 1995.
Please coordinate, if needed, with the Rudibaughs regarding the
responses to all the above items. I am giving this review high
priority because the application is Board-ordered. The sooner I
receive your written answers the better. Call me if you have
questions.
Sincerely,
~v ~ ~:~~~
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Rudy and Deb Rudibaugh, 711 Ranch, Parlin CO 81239
b:\cor0196.rco/p2-4
