It is neutral or <br />mildly alkaline. The Al horizon is grayish brown or brown <br />loam or fine sandy loam. The 62t horizon is brown or pale <br />brown loam to clay loam. The C horizon is pale brown or <br />brown. It is mildly alkaline or moderately alkaline. <br />Stoneham Sandy Loam, 8 to 15 Percent Slopes: <br />This soil, too, is deep and well-drained but tends to <br />be more calcareous than the adjoining Fort Collins loam. It <br />is used much less for crops and very heavily as rangeland <br />and wildlife habitat. Vegetation is usually composed of <br />blue grama (bunchy form), sand dropseed, needle and thread, <br />side-oats grama, western wheatgrass, buckwheat, and <br />• sometimes Junegrass.
