VanSlyke, Supervising Geologist <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />SUBJECT: City of Colorado Springs, Hamra Ranch Pit No. 2, File No. M-92-074 <br />Section 20, T16S, R65W, 6th PM <br />Water Iivision 2, Water District 10 <br />We have reviewed the application for the City of Colorado Springs, Hanna Ranch <br />Pit No. 2, as per your request of July 16, 1992. The application is to conduct <br />mining of gravel and to reclaim the azea. The application states that no <br />groundwater will be intercepted or used in the operation. We, therefore, <br />recommend that the application be approved. Should the mining result in the <br />exposure of ground water the atmosphere, a well permit must be obtained from <br />this office and a court approved water supply plan must be prepazed. <br />Please contact this office if you have any additional questions. <br />cc: Steve Witte, Division Engineer <br />Becky Nichols, Water Commissioner <br />
