•
C - The level area of parcels C-2 and C-3 are utilized for industrial storage of trailers, equipment,
etc., and generally have minimal non-irrigated ground cover or aggregate non-vegetated
ground cover. The sloped bank areas of these two parcels, as well as most of parcel C-1,
generally have ground cover consisting on non-irrigated grasses and weedy species. Thereasx
also a small wedandsalong the Spring Creek Seep Ditch .along the west edge of parcel. C-kae
that won't be disturbed. No mining will occur on these parcels, as they will only be utilized
as the Plant Site.
D - There are existing extensive stands of cottonwood and willows on lower portions of the site
east of the west high bank area along the S. Platter River, and other scattered tree stands on
the west of the west high bank of the S. Platte River. Ground cover consist of non-imgated
grasses with weedy species, alfalfa and grass pasture for animal grazing, and some irrigated
cropland. Some of the non-irrigated grass and pasture areass have obviously been overgrazed
with sparse ground cover. No mining or disturbance will occur east of the existing high west
bank along the S. Platte River and the tree stands in this azea will be preserved. It is the intent
of the operator to excavate the areas of this site between the west side of the west high bank
along the S. Platte River to the allowed setbacks from the all of the other property lines. A
slurry wall will be installed, the afteruse will consist of a sealed water storage reservoir, and
the reservoir banks areas will be revegetated with non-irrigated area.
It is anticipated that jurisdictional wetlands exist on portions of Parcels B and C-1, and potentially
on other portions of some of the other parcels where some mining or other disturbance is proposed.
Wherejurisdictional wetlands are identified and mining or other disturbance is proposed that would
impact identifiedjurisdictional wetlands, no disturbance of these areas will occur until a Nationwide
or other appropriate 404 permit for removal and replacement of any identified jurisdictional wetlands
has been issued by the Corp of Engineers.
_~
